Each one is as unique as the nuances of your relationship. As a published writer since age 13, I love devoting the time to you to completely custom-write your wedding ceremony. You deserve that kind of attention for your wedding day!
Why it’s So Important to Have a Custom-Written Wedding:
Remember that your guests know one of you better than the other – so telling the Story of Your Romance is a fabulous way to get your guests emotionally involved in why it’s so terrific that you met, & how your falling in love was nothing short of destiny!
It’s fun for you to re-live your own love story. Even more, your guests love hearing your unique history: how you went from being strangers to being so deeply in love that you want to spend the rest of your lives together.
Knowing your story makes your guests feel a bond with you that simply cannot be created at “cookie cutter” weddings. A custom-written ceremony helps them truly understand, & share, the very depth of your joy.
In turn, your guests form an emotional attachment to you so that, whenever they think of you, they send you prayers, good wishes, positive energy…everything good… throughout your marriage. That’s a powerful way to start your lives together!
Marriage Packages
I discount all services for active members of the Armed Forces!
Emerald Wedding Service: $450
- As noted under “Meetings”, we’ll spend about 2 hours in my office getting to know each other & discussing in details what feeling, tone & content you’d like your ceremony to entail.
- After our meeting, I’ll email a draft of your ceremony to each of you. You’ll approve or edit that draft, emailing any changes back to me. If you send me changes, I’ll return the final to you for your go-ahead.
- Although you’re not having pre-marital counseling, the Emerald service includes a half-price counseling session any time in the first year you’re married. That’s $150 instead of $300* for a two-hour counseling session. * current prices
- You have the option of writing your own vows, though few people do—apparently, it’s too scary! So I’ll ask if you want traditional or contemporary vows, or somewhere in-between. You get to approve those vows, & can have me edit them per your direction, via email, if you wish.
- My performing the ceremony itself.
- I file all license paperwork for you.
- You get a parchment copy of your ceremony, which I hope you’ll treasure!
Diamond Wedding Service: $ 750
- As noted under “Meetings”, we’ll spend about 2 hours in my office getting to know each other & discussing in details what feeling, tone & content you’d like your ceremony to entail.
- After our meeting, I’ll email a draft of your ceremony to each of you. You’ll approve or edit that draft, emailing any changes back to me. If you send me changes, I’ll return the final to you for your go-ahead.
- Your premarital counseling session begins with your taking an on-line compatibility survey that will be emailed to you. This gives me the equivalent of about 10 hours of face-to-face meetings, saving you an enormous amount of time & money. The information I get from your surveys gives me a base of information for your premarital counseling session.
- Your premarital counseling session will take in the vicinity of 2 hours. Your session will be as tailored to you as your ceremony. Your counseling is based on a great deal of both academic & professional experience (my PhD means I counsel you with enormous expertise, not just "gut feelings" or minimal training), as well as my being happily married since dinosaurs roamed the earth, because I have first-hand experience with so much of what it takes to enjoy a long & happy marriage
- Performing the Ceremony itself!
- Filing of legal documents
- A second, two-hour session of counseling is included free in this price, within the first year you are married! That’s a $300* bonus value. I want to encourage you to make & keep healthy patterns!

Aquamarine Service: $300.
If you want a beach wedding or an ultra-simple ceremony that includes your choice of one or two traditions but does not include your personal story, this package is perfect for you. Destination weddings most often choose the Aquamarine Service.
This includes our emails back & forth about the ceremony content, such as your choice of traditions, whether you'd like me to provide shell necklaces or a bottle of beach sand and so on, and my filing your license paperwork after your witnesses have signed it.
The only potential additional cost to the "Aquamarine" package is travel. The first hour round-trip from Holden Beach is free. Additional travel costs are listed in the Contract.
